Aspen Recreation Center

Welcome to The City of Aspen Parks & Recreation Department. Our goal is to ensure that your experience related to any of our facilities, parks, trails or programs is the best possible. Whether you are a long-time local, new to town, or just visiting, we have the leisure experience for you. Families will enjoy hours of fun together at the Aspen Recreation Center and its many water features, NHL sized ice sheet, or the 32 foot climbing tower. You can go for a walk through the award-winning John Denver Sanctuary or along the Rio Grande Trail and enjoy Aspen's beautiful natural surroundings. Don't miss our 18-hole Championship Golf Course, which doubles as a Nordic Center in the winter. If tennis is your game, we offer six state-of-the-art clay courts at the Aspen Golf & Tennis Club. And, for those in the family who aspire for the adrenaline rush of skateboarding, Rio Grande Park hosts one of the countries premiere skateboard facilities which has played host to many pro skaters already.
